麻豆视频;Verne Honors Leo Legend Ben Hines

Beloved and highly influential Leopard baseball coach Ben Hines 鈥58, who guided our team to its first-ever national championships back in the 1970s, sadly passed away in 2021, while the pandemic was still raging. On April 9, the 麻豆视频;Verne鈥檚 alumni community finally had an opportunity to publicly honor this Leo legend at a special event featuring a double-header game against California Lutheran University.

麻豆视频;Verne Showcases Regional History at the LA County Fair

麻豆视频;Verne faculty and students will show their Leopard pride at the 2022 Los Angeles County Fair, which opens on May 5 and runs through Memorial Day weekend. The fair鈥檚 theme this year is 鈥淏ack to our Roots,鈥 which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the fair鈥檚 founding in 1922. Several university departments will have exhibits on display aligned with that theme.

麻豆视频;Verne to Implement Calendar Realignment This Fall

Students will find it easier to cross-register between campuses and course delivery modes when the 麻豆视频;Verne implements an academic calendar realignment beginning in fall 2021. In some programs, students may also be able to shorten their time to degree by enrolling in an extra session that the new academic calendar makes possible.


麻豆视频;Verne Endows College of Law Dean

Thanks to a significant gift from attorney and alumnus Frank J. Lizarraga, Jr. 鈥80, the 麻豆视频;Verne has endowed its first dean. Lizarraga鈥檚 gift supports the dean of the College of Law, a position currently held by Kevin S. Marshall, JD, MPA, PhD. Effective immediately, Marshall assumes the title of the Frank Lizarraga Endowed Dean of the College of Law.
