(ULV Photo\/Sasha Chavez)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Students Translate Entrepreneurial Skills into Charitable Contributions\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Students in the College of Business Integrated Business Program presented nearly $15,000 in donations to local and national charities during a ceremony at the Sara and Michael Abraham Campus Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The program gives students hands-on experience in entrepreneurship &#8211; from forming companies and writing business plans to marketing products and generating sales &#8211; while teaching social responsibility. Since its inception, students have raised nearly $470,000 for local charities and generated almost $1.1 million in sales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Charities benefiting from the most recent cohort\u2019s efforts include the West End Shelter for Animals; David &amp; Margaret Youth &amp; Family Services; Cure Alzheimer\u2019s Fund; House of Ruth; and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HAHxLf_hAlg?si=vWa2XbqAWnrnvhIP\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students in the College of Business Integrated Business Program worked together to support charities.
