Team recognized by city council following historic season and NCAA championship appearance.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ;Verne women\u2019s volleyball team was honored by the City of La Verne for its outstanding 2025 season after finishing with a 30\u20133 overall record and a 15\u20131 mark in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. The season culminated in a run to the NCAA National Championship match. Each member of the team received a personalized certificate of appreciation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe city council really wanted to honor the ULV women\u2019s volleyball team for their tremendous efforts in making a name not only for the university but also for the community in which we live,\u201d said Wendy M. Lau, a La Verne city councilmember and ULV trustee. \u201cThey are a fantastic group of athletes and also scholars.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt means so much to me,\u201d Mya Ray, the team\u2019s standout senior outside hitter, said. \u201cI am just really happy that my team and I were able to come here and celebrate our amazing season.\u201d
